This is the beginning of our blogging Adventure.

I recently did a consulting job which turned out to be the start of our new adventure. I worked on a consulting assignment that lasted just under 2 months. Mike, the young man I was working with is a millennial. I found his way of thinking awesome! He looked at life a lot differently than I do or I should say I did.

The words “no worries” often came out of his mouth. Mike shared with me his desire to travel the world and eventually live in a foreign country. His goal was to make $50,000 a year by working remotely. This would allow him to travel as he desired and to live where he wished. We worked very well together and he opened my eyes to the possibilities that exist in this world of technology.

Why not work remotely. If you have an internet connection this can be done. During my consulting assignment I would talk to my wife about what I had experienced during that day’s activities. Would it be possible to make a living online while being remote and not having to check into an office?

I did some preliminary research and I found that there are many people who have the same desire as Mike. Moms and Dads who want to make a couple extra dollars while still taking care of their kids, Seniors who desire to make some extra income to supplement their livelihood and people like Mike who want to work remotely and have the freedom that they desire.

While working with Mike I did some research and yes there is an online remote economy out there. Some folks refer to as “side hustles” or “side gigs” or as “working from home” and “working remotely”. Whatever you want to call it… it does exist and many people are doing it. So I am going to spend time finding side hustles and gigs that might work for those who have the same desire as Mike.
